A Physician Group Serving Alameda Health System
Business Ethics and Conduct
OakCare Medical Group is built upon the principle of fair dealing and the high standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct of our employees. Our reputation for integrity and excellence requires careful observance of the spirit and letter of all applicable laws and regulations as well as a scrupulous regard for the highest standards of conduct and personal integrity.
The continued success of OakCare is dependent upon our patients' trust and we are dedicated to preserving that trust. Employees owe a duty to OakCare, its patients and community, to act in a way that will merit the continued trust and confidence of the public.
OakCare intends to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and expects its directors, officers, and employees to conduct business in accordance with the letter, spirit, and intent of all relevant laws and to refrain from any illegal, dishonest, or unethical conduct. In addition, there may be required standardized trainings in ethics and professional conduct that each physician employee is expected to fulfill.
In general, the use of honesty, respect, and good judgment, based on high ethical principles, should be standard benchmarks for good conduct with others. If a situation arises where it is difficult to determine the proper course of action, the matter should be discussed openly with your immediate supervisor, the Chief Operating Officer, or the President of OakCare for advice and consultation.
Compliance with this policy of business ethics and conduct is the responsibility of every OakCare employee. Any employee who observes what they believe may be inappropriate or unprofessional conduct is encouraged to report it to, as appropriate, their supervisor, OakCare’s Chief Operating Officer, or to the President of OakCare. OakCare wants to ensure that an appropriate working environment exists for all employees.
OakCare Medical Group provides the highest quality care to the Alameda Health System and the people of Alameda County in fulfillment of it's dual mission of delivering comprehensive health services and training new physicians.
